Garwsh... Epcot really is beautiful.

I've learned so much about the park and I am just looking forward to walking around during my breaks.

Today was day two of training at the booths. Oh man, so intense. The pressure is huge but I feel awesome being able to be silly with guests. My trainer really likes to be detailed. I'm constantly on my toes but I guess that will be good for when I'm on my own!

I saved a family a ton of money today by finding them a discount they didn't know was available. It felt SO good! They actually asked me for a comment card because they couldn't believe it was my second day. There are always a difficult guest for every good one. It's kind of nice to have that balance though, keeps me alert, lol.

This past weekend was awesome. Jonathan came down to visit and we were able to hang out and relax from the craziness of the new job. That man really knows how to help me find my calm. :)

I'm dying to get my maingate pass so I can start getting my friends and family into the park! <3

Core is over!

Training was a long and very confusing week, but we made it!

I've made new friends and I can only hope I'll run into them during my work shifts. Disney is so huge but I'm sure we'll all bump into each other again.

Tomorrow I have my "Discovery Day" which is when you're given a tour of the park you'll be working at. I'll also get assigned my costume and be able to shadow someone for the day!

I'm going to look so incredibly silly in that vest.

(By silly, I mean AWESOME)

I hope this storm stays at bay long enough for me to head out to Star Wars Weekends for the final weekend! Although, I really should take the only day I have off in two weeks and RELAX.

Jonathan is coming to visit tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited! <3 It's going to be really nice to see a friendly face again :)

"Keep your personal Junk, in your personal Trunk"~ Disney Training Coordinator

My brainnnnnn.

I know I don't know everything
But man, I really thought I knew a lot about Disney.
Silly mortal... the mouse knows more about you, than you do about him.

Day three of training, and it's getting intense. Apparently there are over 200 different ticket options at the Walt Disney World Resort. My head feels like it's going to explode.

It's not just ticket sales, we have to form a relationship with the guest and make sure the ticket they are looking for is the right fit, at the right price. People come to Disney knowing they're going to spend money, but I tell you what, I will never complain about the price of a one day ticket again.

Living out of a motel has been rough. If I were driving in a car, right now would be the time I would roll up my windows and lock my doors.
*insert comment about Hialeah here*

I've met some nice people, but I haven't really made any new friends yet. I'm so stressed about learning about this new position that my brain is too occupied to put effort towards a friendship.

I really miss my family and my friends.

*sigh*

At least I've been introduced to TONS of helpful resources and have made some great connections already.
Baby steps... I can do this.

Nessa Out.

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them..."

Oh my gosh Epcot!

So... slight confession, I totally wanted Hollywood Studios... BUT, seeing as though there is so little that I know of Epcot, I'm totally excited to learn more!

Orientation day was UH-MAZING.

Chris, the cast member that gave the orientation was *so* funny and great, he really loves his job and it shows! A lot of the day was protocol stuff about insurance and safety rules, but the welcome team really went above and beyond to get us all excited about our new roles.

For our lunch break, we were taken under Magic Kingdom to the cast member Mouseketeeria. (I am in love with these punny names) We got to eat beside all the other cast members, along with some of my favorite Disney characters! Taking the "underground" shortcuts through Magic Kingdom had always been a weird dream of mine. I'm so glad to be able to scratch that off my bucket list!

People had 'warned' me about working for Disney, saying that the magic goes away once you know the secrets... I feel that the only thing better than being witness to the magic, is being part of it.

Mickey even came by later in the day to present us with our official Disney name tags! It was priceless to see full of grown adults jumping up and down with excitement when he walked into the room. :)

In the end, Disney's message was simple.
"We create Happiness"

I could only hope to be able to provide families with the same happy memories that all these cast members gave me as a child.

I start my training for my specific role tomorrow, and officially start at the park on Friday.
So. Much. Excitement!

"Keep moving forward!"

I did it! I finally got into Walt Disney World after 5 months of hope, luck, and a lot of pixie dust!

My new adventures start on Saturday and I'm super pumped to see what the orientation has to offer. I've read a ton of articles stating that Disney's new employee orientation is one of the best experiences ever!
